A Welcome From Fayette FUMC’S Senior Pastor…
SO WHAT IS “CHURCH?”…Some of us would say that CHURCH is a place where we can come to offer praise - the singing of hymn and song, the reading and studying of God’s Word, the opening of our minds and spirits to God through acts of worship. Others would suggest that CHURCH is a place to which we come to be challenged – Bible Studies that stretch our spirit and minds, experiences of service and outreach that help us begin to turn beyond self to the world around us. And still others would say that CHURCH is a place to rest and find fellowship – small groups, times for fun and reflection. Whatever your definition, “church” is a place where seekers and followers come to join together in hearing and responding to God’s call upon our lives.
Here, within the walls of Fayette First United Methodist Church, our prayer is that this is a place of all of these things and more, that through relevant and reflective worship, challenging times of study, and fun fellowship we be encouraged and equipped to live out who it is that God has created us to be as His people. I want to take this moment to welcome you to Fayette FUMC and encourage you to consider us to be more than just CHURCH…We are God’s family and want to welcome you into this body of God’s family! Come and join us as we worship together…Come and join with us as we seek to live out God’s calling in our everyday lives.
